DTS (Digital Theater Systems, Inc.) willl feature presentations on Mixing for 6.1 Discrete by renowned music producer Nathaniel Kunkel at the company's booth throughout the AES convention in New York (Oct. 10-13). Kunkel's engineering credits include James Taylor, Barbra Streisand.
DTS also will be showing the new CAE-5 and CAD-5 encoder/decoder for DVD Authoring and Broadcast at AES. The CAE-5 encodes all current DTS formats, including DTS 96/24, DTS-ES 6.1 discrete and DTS-ES matrix, and scalable broadcast bitrates ranging from 128kbps to 1.5Mbps. The CAD-5 decoder is also an eight-channel device, fully compatible with all DTS formats. It also supports DTS Neo:6 stereo into 5.1 conversion, and includes AES/EBU, SPDIF and optical digital inputs.
